Mr. Evans joined The GEO Group, Inc. in 2000 with over 19 years of business management experience. As Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Mr. Evans is responsible for the overall financial management of The GEO Group and its subsidiaries. Since 2000, the company has grown from approximately $470 million in revenues to more than $1.0 billion in 2008.

As GEO’s Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for the financial management of a rapidly growing New York Stock Exchange listed public company involved in the design, construction, financing and operation of more than 65 prisons and mental health care facilities in the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, and Canada, making up over 60,000 beds. In addition, while serving in his previous positions Mr. Evans was instrumental in successfully executing the company’s strategy for several public offerings of equity, the successful completion of two significant business acquisitions and the execution of a high yield capital markets transaction to finance the buyout of a majority shareholder for $132 million.
