An Invaluable Community Partner
The idea of a private corrections or mental health facility calling your community home may seem intimidating. However, many communities find a partnership with GEO invaluable. This is due to the economic and community enrichment opportunities a GEO facility provides. On average, GEO invests over $10 million annually; in each local economy; towards wages, local contractors, taxes, and charitable contributions.
From our corporate and regional offices to our facilities, GEO encourages volunteerism. Each GEO facility manages their philanthropic activities through a community outreach committee. This committee partners with local non-profits and national chapter organizations to coordinate volunteer efforts and fundraising events.
In addition to nationally known organizations, GEO supports the local community through scholarships and grants; community improvement projects, such as park beautification and disaster recovery cleanup; and various other causes.
