GEO Secure Services division provides turnkey solutions including the design, build and finance/lease of state-of-the-art facilities, the intake and housing of offenders, industry leading in-custody evidence based programs, as well as secure offender transportation services to government clients in the United States and Internationally. Worldwide, GEO Secure Services oversees the operation and management of approximately 72,000 beds in 54 secure facilities and processing centers.
GEO’s U.S. Secure Services division oversees approximately 65,000 beds in 50 secure facilities and processing centers. GEO’s Secure Services division provides support services on behalf of the U.S. Marshals Service and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as 7 state correctional clients and various county and city jurisdictions.
The daily oversight of GEO’s Secure Services facilities is coordinated from three regional offices located in Charlotte, North Carolina; San Antonio, Texas; and Los Angeles, California. Each regional operating structure is headed by a Regional Vice President who oversees approximately two dozen experts in security, medical, financial, human resources and other support services.
GEO’s International Services division provides secure services for government clients in the United Kingdom, Australia, and South Africa managing four correctional facilities and processing centers encompassing approximately 6,500 beds. Through wholly-owned subsidiary and joint-venture companies, GEO’s International Services division provides correctional solutions that are fully customizable and tailored to each government customer’s requirements and standards.
GEOAmey was formed in 2011 as a joint venture between The GEO Group Inc and Amey UK Plc. Headquartered in Manchester, England, GEOAmey operate and manage the Prisoner Escort and Custodial Service (PECS) generation 4 contract on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in England and Wales, and the Scottish Court Custody and Prisoner Escorting Service (SCCPES) contract on behalf of the Scottish Prison Service and Criminal Justice Partners in Scotland.
